Feedback
Nestled in the heart of Pigeon Forge, this restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere but has received mixed feedback on its cuisine and service. While some patrons enjoyed quick and friendly service, others reported long waits and unremarkable food. Highlights included a well-cooked steak and flavorful cocktails, but many dishes, like the mac and cheese and fried pork chops, fell flat. Missteps with service, such as inadequate silverware and lack of attention, tarnished some visits. Overall, despite its appealing menu and convenient location, diners are divided on whether they’d recommend a return trip, with the potential for inconsistency in both food and service.
The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and adorable decor. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. I ordered a veggie burger that appeared to have been microwaved, and the fried mushrooms were overly greasy and lacking crispiness. Our server, Jessica, was rather unfriendly and did not provide us with silverware or napkins. When I asked for napkins, she handed us just two small bar napkins, claiming that the silverware was "counted." What on earth? My husband requested to speak with the manager, but no one ever approached us. Overall, it feels like a tourist trap.
We got there around 5pm. They were somewhat busy, but we were seated quickly and our drink order taken. Our server, Crystal, was very friendly and took good care of us. I ordered a Trapper Jack 's Handcut Sirloin steak, mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese. The smothered steak tips were also delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I had a Breakfast Juice beer (New England IPA). It was pretty good. We also shared a slice of a very delicious Creme Brulee Cheesecake. We absolutely loved the cheesecake. We had seats by the open window, which was very pleasant.
Came here as the line at Paula Deen's was way too long. Large restaurant with plenty of options. We started with the campfire queso (on the menu it says quest, maybe a typo? and it was tasty with the tortilla chips and pretzel sticks. The star of the meal. I ordered the fried pork chops with white gravy, mashed taters and mac and cheese. The pork was quite dry, the mac and cheese was just okay, and the mashed potatoes were decent. The chicken pot pie was more like a soup with the phyllo crust on top. Wasn't what we were expecting and hardly any chicken. The strawberry cake was okay, definitely tasted like boxed cake, but the cream cheese frosting made it better. The worst was the blackberry margaritas. Served in a water cup and completely diluted.
This place is located in the island of pigeon Forge. You have to park like a block down from the island and you can ride the trolley back into the island. They have a lot of great options on the menu. We went with a steakhouse burger with Mac and cheese, buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken tenders with brisket and chicken pot pie. The steakhouse burger was delicious and the a1 sauce gave it a good taste. The Mac and cheese was okay I had better but okay. The sweet tea was very delicious especially on a hot day. The buffalo chicken sandwich was huge and it had a nice kick too it. The chicken pot pie was delicious needs a bit more chicken instead of peas but tasted great. The sweet potato fries came with a churro dipping sauce which was good but looked nasty when you dip and pull up. The chicken tenders and brisket was good. The brisket was really good and the chicken tenders are just tenders nothing special. The service was phenomenal and the older guy went beyond and above. They also have special drinks but I had stopped at the moonshine place next door before I got there.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant, and our hostess, Hope, truly made it special. She kept our drinks refilled on a particularly hot day—I even found myself with three glasses of sweet tea at one point! I ordered the loaded Pork Nachos, and they were absolutely perfect. One of my friends had the Buffalo burger, which he said was cooked medium and incredibly tender. My wife loved the Strawberry chicken salad, declaring it the best she’s ever had. The last member of our group chose the smothered beef tips served over mashed potatoes, which were also fantastic.
