We stayed in Pescara for a fortnight in August 2016. Having been disappointed with the trattoria we had been to often in 2015, we tried the PiPe and were very pleased with the very friendly service and the food. Food of all sorts (pizza, seafood etc. was consistently good on our four or more visits there in two weeks for lunch and dinner.
The location is excellent, very close to the beach. You have to make a resevation before going there because ia almost everyday full. You can find very good seafood, but not only. Try octopus carpaccio! It is delicious!
We dined on the small terrace: insect repellant helped! Food good just good. Service medium: long waiting between one order and the next.
We had travelled around all parts of Italy for 3 weeks prior to stopping here for dinner (as per recommendation from our hotel) and it was by far the best meal we had on our trip. Service was fantastic and all meals ordered were delicious and cooked perfectly. We could not find a fault. Highly recommended the mussels and clams and marinara pizza. They even had a seperate menu dedicated to gluten free meals which was a treat! Thank you PiPe we will hopefully be back one day!
