The meal was fantastic from start to finish, and the clever packaging deserves recognition! Keeping the chicken fried steak separate from the eggs and hash browns really preserved the flavors. Thought I had been at the worst Denny's but this place is the king. Ordered 2 coffees and 2 eggs, bacon and toast After 45 minutes still nothing and wanted to see manager. Turns out the manager was the only cook plus 1 server, was two booths down gabbing with someone she knew. The host was doing the best he could but more people were arriving so I asked for the check. They are short staffed. Long wait of people trying to pay their bill. Finally seated and the manager took our order. Food was cold and not exactly what we ordered. My husband's meal had a hair in it that wasn't his. The waitress for our area ignored usthe entire time we were there. We finally had to stop her and ask for a box and our check. An older gentleman was put on thecash register and the poor thing didn't know how to run it, he was getting flustered. We overheard the waitress telling anothercustomer they had just let go a bunch of emoyees and she might be next.
Updated: so grateful for the management explaining the shortfall in staff. It's a tough environment...so many people unwilling to work or not skilled or committed to work consistently. In any event, Payson Dennys is hurting for staff. Previous review:edited Completely understaffed. Led to poor customer service. Polite lady running the front, but she was overwhelmed...Even thebuffet area was off limits to new guests unless you waited. We headed to the Beeline Cafe and were seated immediately. Greatatmosphere there, but smaller place.
