Stopped in after an evening of sightseeing to get daughter a soup. They only take cash or debit. That should've been our first clue to look elsewhere. Soup was $2.85 CA. We paid with $5 US as we just got in to the city. They gave us $1 CA change. Exchange rate today is $1 US = $1.26 CA excl nominal fees so we were overcharged.Ok, fair enough. Now on to the soup. Excessively hot. No fountain drinks to get ice to cool it off for our very hungry toddler. We took a paper cup from next to the slushee machine to sift the soup back & forth to cool it. This is after my wife blew on it repeatedly & it still burned her mouth. As she took it & walked to our table, i noticed a female & male employee behind the counter stare & walk over, saying nothing to us. As she sifted the soup, the guy was noticeably staring & annoyed. He said nothing to me. When i notified my wife she looked over & saw him staring angrily. She offered to pay for the $0.05 cup, which he refused, justifying his disgust by loudly saying we should've asked first & walking away. After a few minutes, the soup cooled. The taste was mediocre & neither my wife or daughter would eat it so we threw it out & left.We were stunned to be treated so rudely. Hopefully this is an isolated incident & others are not treated unfairly. Exercise caution though.
We seldom find vegetarian sandwiches that are tasty. It the verde veggie wrap was incredibly tasty and the accompanying salads were equally as good. Not sure about vegan as most had cheese but they were making them on the premises so perhaps you could ask for one to be made sans cheese?
