What Jess Trantow dislikes about B.a.s.h. Burger And Sushi House:
This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I can recall. The sushi did not taste like traditional sushi at all - I can't even begin to describe it. And to make matters worse, it was $18 for just five small pieces. I've had much better sushi elsewhere for a similar price, in much more pleasant surroundings. Overall, this was a big disappointment. Brussel sprout salat was flash fried with fresh cut jalapeños — delish! enoki roll was good, but hard on the rice.
I was impressed by the variety of vegan options available at this restaurant. I tried the impossible burger, which is not hard to find, but they enhanced it by adding grilled squash and paprika. It was tasty and a refreshing change from the typical sliced tomatoes on top.
I went to Bash for lunch with a friend. We tried a variety of rolls, which were delicious. The service was excellent and the prices were fair. However, the only downside was the presence of flies. They were persistent in trying to share our food, making it quite bothersome. Despite the quality of the food and service, I am hesitant to return due to the issue with the flies.
I have to say, I was very impressed with the quality, portions and price. Everything was very fresh and our waitress gave great suggestions and was knowledgeable about the rolls. I would absolutely recommend the Tuna Tower, it's amazing!
