Iñaki Tellería is one of the 54 graduates of the first class of the Basque Culinary Center. It has already passed through the kitchens of Catalan or Brazilian kitchens and now it is in Kuko, a restaurant for twenty diners near Zumarraga. We chose the long menu, eight passes of dishes with local products and fair preparation, few frills and complications for excellent raw materials. Nice to meet you, Inaki.
It has pleasantly surprised us. Excellent service and quality. We have enjoyed a lot
Local located on the ground floor of a house in Ormaiztegi. Area with some difficulty in parking. Very nice dining room. Spacious and well presented tables. It has few tables so it is best to reserve. Mix between semi-modern dishes and traditional food. For my personal taste, dishes are a little high in salt but I eat almost without salt. Very good quality products, well made and well presented. Fair portions (modern cuisine type) but fine for normal diners. It 's not a place to fill up on food hehe Mussels, artichokes with asparagus, hake, cod with cocochas, creme anglaise, cheesecake, .... In my case mixed feelings. I really liked the cod with cocochas. The mussels, although they are from the sea and were good at their point, they put it with a very salty liquid base which I understand is the broth in which they have cooked it but which personally does not contribute anything. The cheesecake theoretically contains blue cheese, as I understood it, because it is an original presentation in a paper tub and it is a soft and pleasant cream cheese, but excessively soft for my taste. The attention is good. Good price quality.
