Our group of friends loves to eat in shahi! the eating is delicious, the sitting facilities are comfortable and the staff is friendly. it is a particularly convenient place to eat before a creighton basketball game or an evening in the holland performing art center. we found out during this visit that the employees are now paying a decent, rewarding wage and so they do not accept tips. good for shahi! another reason to support this great restaurant!
Thank you Yelp for helping a business traveler who missed the last flight of day to enjoy a night in Downtown Omaha. What a great restaurant! The menu is diverse without being overwhelming. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. I appreciated being able to order my food at a 6 out of 10 spice level just perfect with my tall, cold beer. Garlic naan is light and tasty. The Masala is creamy and flavorful. Portion size was perfect if not a bit too much with a generous serving of rice. I dined late on a Thursday night and although there were others in the booths in front and behind me, the noise level was fine. Definitely recommend and hope to return next time without missing my flight!
I’ve eaten here several times over the past year and it’s always delicious, with friendly service.Somehow this last time there was a bit of miscommunication about how spicy I wanted my dish, and when the butter chicken arrived it was very mild. Still tasty, but not how I was expecting it. The server quickly addressed it and brought me a small dish of the spice they use to adjust it, and it was perfect after that.Their samosas are delicious, too. And, I always end up with plenty of leftovers for another meal.
