The Schwan is situated next to the center of Oldenburg only a few hundred meters away from the pedestrian zone. The service is very friendly and you feel...
I was one night for dinner with my friend and friends. there were no communication problems as we were two members of our group, whose mother tongue was German. we sat pretty fast and ordered drinks. we got menus. from there the service went back dramatically. after that we sat down for 30 minutes without even thinking about it. the restaurant was not full and there were at least three waiters free. unnecessary to say that we paid the bill for our drinks and left. the waitress asked why we went without eating. we told her it was the bad service. Since then, she accepted it and did not apologize. I had eaten here a few years ago and it was really good. rather sad to see a decline of service standards. especially on an evening with a half empty restaurant.
Eating here was very good, a good mix of traditional German dressed and modern Americanized dressed. good choice of wine and beer. the service was somewhat slow, but otherwise very good.
Only stopped for coffee, but the waiter was very friendly, the decor cozy and a beautiful view of the harbour. the coffee selection is excellent.
Elaborate, but quality of the food is good. they have a cozy environment.
