General It cannot and must not always be the gourmet restaurant in the post office in Odenthal – also the post office has tasty offers. They're more petty-bourgeois and a little more deft. But in the kitchen, the same team as for the restaurant sets the plates. And there is as much effort as for the star restaurant! Ambience The postal cups are also cosy. The tables have a white runner; the place looks like a bistro. The napkins are of course made of fabric and the glasses are quite noble, cleanliness Everything looks well maintained. The gnocchi had a strong taste and matched the dishes – but roast potatoes might have been even better. The asparagus pieces were slightly cooked and still quite solid. A lush plate to get sat. Filet vom Island Lachs Pfifferlinge Lemonenrisotto Beurre Blanc The fish was optimally fried and juicy. As an addition, there was even another fish fillet on the plate; it should have been Butt – but it looked like a red-bellied fillet on the surface for me. I think both pieces tasted good, I let myself say. The Risotto was also successful. Rumpsteak 220g from the grill mountainous pasture bark three weeks dry ripened butcher molitor herbal butter Bratkartoffeln Blattsalate (36 Euro The meat was medium – as desired. The herbal butter was very aromatic. Leaf salads were served in a bowl extra; just like roast potatoes. Overall, that was a huge proportion. Poached apricots Rahmei's fruit sorbet almond cake (9 Euros The apricot halves were only slightly soured and were still solid and hardly to share with the spoon without any problems. The Rahmeis was creamy and buttrig. The fruit ice cream brought sweet acid notes into play. At the edge of the plate was the cuts of almond cake. For me there was a little cheesecake; I don't get the hazel and almond. Drinks Taunusquelle medium (7.50 Euro Grauburgunder Hausmarke (28 Euro The white wine had strong flavors and matched well to the dishes. Price performance ratio We think the pricing is completely fine – even if the steak is perhaps calculated at first glance to an amount almost like the Dreigsang menu: But there are plenty of supplements, a lot of meat and it is quite clear.
