The breakfast at this restaurant was amazing, with large portions. There were seven of us and we all ordered different dishes, all of which were delicious. Despite being from the city, the servers were very friendly. One tip: the restaurant is located in the rear of the building, similar to a Cracker Barrel. Customers order and are served at their table, but pay at the register in the back like at a Waffle House.
Loves everything about this place! service and eating are always before place! the spicy and cookies are so good. I love above all how the waiters with the customers and socialize each other. they do not see them on their handys in between, but actually talk to people, even laugh and have a good time. always a 5-star experience!
We have been to Englanders several times, when we travel to Garrett County, and we are never disappointed. Their cafeteria is pretty basic but the food is really good and..their milkshakes are the best we’ve ever had. This place is a local gem.
My partner and I traveled from the DC area to Garrett County to celebrate my birthday in the snow. We decided to have lunch at a small city grill with a soda fountain. I mentioned to the server that I had never tried a milkshake, so I decided to order one for my birthday. To my surprise, she brought out a delicious chocolate milkshake with a birthday candle on top! After we finished our meal, she informed us that it was on the house as a birthday treat. This experience gave me a fantastic birthday memory, and I believe this restaurant truly deserves a glowing review.
During our stay at Deep Creek Lake, we camped at a local park after a fantastic hike. The quirky antiques added a fun touch, but it was the classic diner atmosphere and delicious, well-priced food that stood out the most. The club sandwich with perfectly crispy potatoes was a favorite, while my wife thoroughly enjoyed her BLT. The staff was attentive and welcoming, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
