Taps Pub - Oak Forest
Taps Pub
Description
An old-school, no-frills neighborhood bar with cheap drink specials, pool, slots and a loyal regular crowd. Friendly bartenders and bargain pints draw patrons, but cleanliness concerns, occasional fights and reports of an inebriated, confrontational owner create an uneasy, unpredictable vibe. Small, dark and loud, it suits budget-seeking pub crawlers and regulars more than families or quiet nights—come for the deals and pool, expect grit.

Feedback
The owner, Michelle, tends to be very chatty and often drinks a lot while at the restaurant. She seems to intimidate her employees and makes customers hesitant to interact with her. There seems to be something off about her demeanor. It's concerning when an owner appears to be inebriated at their own establishment and then complains about financial issues, especially after having polished off an entire bottle of Fireball. This situation has been ongoing for 20 years, and it gives the impression of a mismanaged business.
I absolutely love this place! The bartenders and owners are fantastic! I had a great time playing pool and trying out the video slots. The beer specials on Fridays are unbeatable, especially with $2 beers! I ordered a pizza, and the service was excellent and very friendly. We'll definitely be coming back!
