Oles is a charming restaurant with delicious food and exceptional service. The ambience is delightful and the menu features upscale dishes at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Highlights include the special beef short ribs with root vegetables and the Swedish meatballs. Minor critiques include the lack of crackers or bread for the smorgasbord and the mild seasoning of the panisse. Overall, Oles is a favorite spot for many diners in the neighborhood, offering a wonderful dining experience with Scandinavian influence. The house wine and dessert options also receive top marks.
Great menu that served some excellent and different dishes. Bread pudding was delicious but very sweet! Would highly recommened
This was a Thank You dinner for dear friends. The Hostess, who also served our bar order, was outstanding. The waiter was not attentive at all being late to even come to our table to start. out of orders were late or messed up. We have always enjoyed coming to this restaurant and hopefully this visit was just a one off experience
The special was excellent meat (short ripening? and root vegetables. the smorgasbord could have used a few cracker or brot, a cracker and a small piece of brot a piece that is not close to the use of the spreads that needs something underneath. the panisse was mild for Scandinavia, I guess I would have liked more. these are very picky things, everything was wonderful. the service was excellent, and the reason we would choose it over a comparable restaurant.
Went on for Saturday brunch and was not disappointed! The kids especially loved the pancakes and Dutch Baby. My salmon scramble was perfect. Recently I returned for dinner two times. Both visits were an excellent experience, the new owner as of 2019 has really elevated the restaurant to the next level. The staff is happy and delightful and the food is spectacular. Everything on the menu just hits perfectly.
Excellent! Great menu. The interior is wonderful with booths and tables and a couple high tops too. There were vegetarian options and gluten-free options too. Our food was amazing and the fries were cooked to perfection.
