Nestled near the Metra station, this bright café offers a delightful mix of Vietnamese cuisine and beverages, including flavorful coffee and boba tea. We ordered ginger chicken pho and two iced teas without milk. The oolong and jasmine iced teas were very sweet and delicious. However, the pho was disappointingly salty and lacked flavor, with minimal garnishes and no hot peppers. The service was helpful and considerate with no complaints. The atmosphere was pleasant and airy inside, but the music volume could be slightly lowered.
The banh mi are absolutely phenomenal. I recommend either the pork or beef personally but I'm sure you won't be disappointed with anything you get here.
Great food, coffee, and boba tea. Fast, casual atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating service.Everything always tastes great but I'm especially a fan of the wings and the pork Banh Mi. Just make sure to ask for jalapeños as they don't come by default.
Upscale modern Vietnamese restaurant with tastes tailored for western audiences. The ambient music is bright and subtle enough to be able to ignore Amtrak/Metra crossing the Northbrook stop. I had the chicken pho, which comes with a lime wedge, somefresh bean sprouts, and some basil. Compared to Saigon Sisters over in the west loop, the soup base is traditionally fairlylight but Basu's pho packs a flavorful punch in taste. The added chicken and pho noodles were portioned well. They individuallyhad great texture and matched well with the broth.
Not super traditional but the food is good and the service was very quick. Vietnamese iced coffee was so good.
