Honest to Zues the best feckin tacos I've ever had the pleasure to consume. Balls to the wall good fun! Tucked sweetly between Toast a shipment container with ample parking for a 10 speed, a Tesla, and queen Anne's lace. Walruses? don't got em. But Grapefruit soda from the tap? SHEEEEESH. When I asked what type of food it was the waitress did not know, I was trying to figure out what to get because , the variety is very small, ambience is very unique as some of the seating is in freight trailers, bar is cute, tortillas were obviouslyhomemade thick, I wasn?t a fan, and they had no sweet wine whatsoever she handed me some thing that tasted well I?m just notsure but it was gross, The tacos with some sals... A gem! Absolutely loved everything I ate. The Verde salsa has a lot of lime flavor and the orange is sweet with a spicy kick. I will be back!
I would have appreciated the full experience if I hadn't had to order at the window. The tacos were fantastic, and I wish they sold their hot sauces in bottles because they were amazing. The oyster bowl was hearty and definitely something I would order again. The outdoor seating area is lovely, filled with plenty of plants and greenery. The drink selection is extensive, featuring craft beers, wines, cocktail slushies, and margaritas. While I would have liked to see more mezcal options, I opted for mezcal instead of tequila in my drink.
The restaurant has a distinctly Tijuanesque atmosphere. I only sampled straight mezcal, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover a mezcalería in Norfolk! The staff appeared friendly and genuinely interested in mezcal culture. The brands available are primarily geared towards international customers, but I hope they'll include more traditional Mexican options in the future. I'll definitely return to try more drinks and the tacos! I must mention that the bathroom wasn't in great shape, but it was an especially busy time.
