Nestled near Asda, this popular café has garnered a loyal following for its exceptional food and delightful afternoon tea. Diners rave about the fresh ingredients, delicious scones, and generous portions. While the menu offers diverse options, the café's popularity leads to crowded conditions, with patrons often sharing tables and navigating tight spaces. Though the service can be slow during peak times, the friendly staff remain accommodating. Some patrons suggest layout improvements to enhance accessibility. Overall, this charming café is a must-visit for its delectable offerings, making it a true culinary gem in the heart of Kilkeel.
What User likes about Whisk:
today come to whisk to get some tasty home and what a deal they were. so fresh and good. I have the German biscuit (fab biscuit with an amazing homemade jam in the middle,) mini-limonez meringue not a soggy-bottom in itself! excellent mince pie, mandel tart and the lightest and tasty lemon and white chocolate-sweet. So yes, I was very greedy, but by huck it was good for the fresh and gloomy of tasty. View all feedback.
What sr551 doesn't like about Whisk:
Called in around mid afternoon for quick cuppa and decided to have sausage roll too. Recalled it being the more sharp hypster Salt and Pepper before. Noted a number of tables uncleared and just too much food on the unswept floor. Sorry but can 't comment on food except sausage roll was ok. Maybe we just experienced cafe at a weaker moment.
