I was first introduced to Oregon Rieslings at a lovely restaurant in Michigan. During my two-week stay in Oregon, I stopped by Elk Cove between my Airbnb stays, and I was impressed by all their white wines. However, the standout for me was their Pinot Rosé! We intend to buy some to have shipped back home to Michigan later!
We stopped by Chehalem during a day of wine tasting. The tasting room is in downtown Newberg, which is super convenient. We had reservations at 1:00 on a Friday and only one other party was there. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. We ordered food ahead of time a turkey sandwich and a cheese plate. Both were very good. The wines were good also! A great stop on our wine tour!
Came here as we were driving around Newberg. Good location in town. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Had a couple tastings of their Pinots and one of their charcuterie boards. Seating both inside and out. Could benefit from more parking, but suspect it's not a major issue.
First off all the staff here are super friendly! I recently revisited this place and they are so spacious now. They have outdoor patio seating and two spacious rooms for indoor seating. Their patio area is neat, very nice, and relaxing to be out there on a warm day.The wine here isn't cheap but pretty tasty. The tasting fee is $20, which will waive if you are buying a bottle or more. I didn't get anything this time besides the tasting because I was on a bike. They do offer some snacks like cheese plates, nuts, and other things to munch on. Some evenings they offer game night and live music. Check them out if you are in Newberg!
