As far as Fish and Chip Shops go, this one is not too bad. With friendly and accommodating staff the fish and chips are around the mark. With the fish being freshly battered and cooked while you wait and usually of pretty good quality. A definite highlight of this shop is the cleanliness View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Showgrounds Cafe:
We stopped here to grab a quick snack between towns. The food was very average. Staff seemed uninterested and talked amongst friends whilst firstly ignoring us. Food was basic and greasy. Ended up throwing most out. View all feedback.
A great feed value for money pleasant staff somewhere to sit if you want or just grab and go I always think people make the place nice staff helpful staff willing to do the little things can make the experience all the nicer whether with my family or a group of elderly I find they have all your take away need sewn up
Not the best place I have eaten we ordered fish and chips the chips were soggy and the fish was greasy all disgusting would not reccommend

We had a group of 8 adults and 4 children to feed, and this café offered good food. The fish was delicious, but the potato cakes were not well-received. The chips, scallops, prawns, and calamari were all quite good. The service was quick, although it may not have been the best. Overall, everyone left satisfied.
