Osteria Tulia is my wife’s favorite restaurant in Naples. She especially adores the tortiloni stuffed with short rib. Their pasta selection is fantastic, and you even have the option to order half portions of two of your favorites. I tried the roasted pork chop served with creamy mashed potatoes and greens; it was incredibly flavorful and juicy, and the sauce was simply exquisite. It has quickly become my new favorit... What Gordon Barrows dislikes about Tulia:
This is the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I could get my money back. It was very loud, disorganized and terrible overall. The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel... View all feedback.
I assumed that most places on 5th Avenue would be tourist traps, but this restaurant is truly worth a visit. When we arrived, I got a bit confused because I thought we were going to eat at the bar. They were closing the restaurant, but our server kindly allowed us to sit down for dinner. The service was outstanding. I don't remember our server's name (he had a neatly trimmed beard and mustache), but he was fantastic. My daughter and I ordered oysters, which were the best I've ever had, no contest. They were plump, and the garlic cream sauce was heavenly. We also tried the tortelloni stuffed with short rib, which was absolutely delicious and very filling. We're not usually dessert people, but I have a hunch the desserts would be amazing too. We will definitely be back!
Ambiance, taste, service quality is perfect! We ordered Tortelloni, Lasagna, Caesar Salad, Mista Salad and Fried Calamari Shrimp. All was delicious. We ordered also a bottle of Chianti Classico. We like Sicilian wines. Wine was very tasty. Brandon who was serving to us is so nice and he responded our requests very quickly even though the restaurant was very crowded. We were happy to be here. Hopefully we will visit again. Thank you!
Spectacular Lunch! Beet Salad, added Shrimp… tremendously flavorful, not large but so good and actually filled me up! Beets, pistachios, seasoned shrimp amazing combination! Hubby had lasagna and said it was the best he’d ever had! Service was stellar! We loved the Atmosphere; wood beams and unique light fixtures. Great restaurant!
This is a fantastic spot for authentic, rustic Italian cuisine right in the heart of downtown. If you have the chance to sit outside, go for it! The lively mix of Neapolitans and aspiring locals makes for excellent people-watching. Our group of four started with a beet salad and a Caesar salad, both of which were delicious! For the main course, we shared grouper, linguine with seafood, pork, and another pasta dish. We brought our own bottle of red wine and paid the corkage fee, then ordered a Montepulciano to accompany our meal. Don’t skip the tiramisu for dessert—it’s a signature dish! Everything was spot on, and our waiter Fred provided outstanding service. While it's a bit on the pricey side, it’s absolutely worth every penny.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We managed to make a same-day reservation, although the only available times were 6:15 or 8:15. We chose the earlier time and found the restaurant bustling when we arrived. We opted to sit outside and really enjoyed the ambiance. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. My partner ordered a Caesar salad and a pizza, while I chose the Lobster Ravioli. Our server graciously offered to split the salad for us, which was a thoughtful touch. The salad was delicious and was more than enough for two to share. I was pleased to find it easy to remove the pancetta, as I prefer to avoid pork. My partner enjoyed the salad with the pancetta and appreciated having the anchovies served on the side so he could adjust his portion. The pizza looked incredible, and he loved it. My Lobster Ravioli was rich, flavorful, and packed with lobster, plus the portion was quite generous. All in all, we had a fantastic meal and would definitely return based on this experience.
