Was Greg at Tulia a mag?
Osteria Tulia is my wife’s favorite restaurant in Naples. She especially adores the tortiloni stuffed with short rib. Their pasta selection is fantastic, and you even have the option to order half portions of two of your favorites. I tried the roasted pork chop served with creamy mashed potatoes and greens; it was incredibly flavorful and juicy, and the sauce was simply exquisite. It has quickly become my new favorit... What Gordon Barrows dislikes about Tulia:
This is the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I could get my money back. It was very loud, disorganized and terrible overall. The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel... View all feedback.
This is a fantastic spot for authentic, rustic Italian cuisine right in the heart of downtown. If you have the chance to sit outside, go for it! The lively mix of Neapolitans and aspiring locals makes for excellent people-watching. Our group of four started with a beet salad and a Caesar salad, both of which were delicious! For the main course, we shared grouper, linguine with seafood, pork, and another pasta dish. We brought our own bottle of red wine and paid the corkage fee, then ordered a Montepulciano to accompany our meal. Don’t skip the tiramisu for dessert—it’s a signature dish! Everything was spot on, and our waiter Fred provided outstanding service. While it's a bit on the pricey side, it’s absolutely worth every penny.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We managed to make a same-day reservation, although the only available times were 6:15 or 8:15. We chose the earlier time and found the restaurant bustling when we arrived. We opted to sit outside and really enjoyed the ambiance. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. My partner ordered a Caesar salad and a pizza, while I chose the Lobster Ravioli. Our server graciously offered to split the salad for us, which was a thoughtful touch. The salad was delicious and was more than enough for two to share. I was pleased to find it easy to remove the pancetta, as I prefer to avoid pork. My partner enjoyed the salad with the pancetta and appreciated having the anchovies served on the side so he could adjust his portion. The pizza looked incredible, and he loved it. My Lobster Ravioli was rich, flavorful, and packed with lobster, plus the portion was quite generous. All in all, we had a fantastic meal and would definitely return based on this experience.
I visited Osteria Tulia as part of a food tour from Marco Island. We tried the Fiore cocktail, Sicilian Meatball, Mista Salad, and Garganelli, and everything was truly fantastic. The catering director also provided some background on the restaurant, which added to our experience. It was a delightful visit and a great start to our tour, with two more restaurants lined up afterward.
I adore this restaurant. The Italian cuisine is incredible and authentic, and the atmosphere is lovely. The servers are friendly and know their stuff. Most of the pasta dishes are made in-house, so you won't be let down.
We ate here for lunch a while back, but decided to try it for dinner. The service and the food were both excellent. We had a reservation and were seated quickly at a nice table outside. Our waiter greeted us and introduced himself and offered us drinks. They have a sizable wine list with many by the glass, as well as a nice list of craft cocktails. The drinks arrived quickly, and he introduced us to the specials and answered several questions about the menu. My wife got the Michelle pizza and I ordered the veal chop. Both were delicious. The pizza was flavorful, hot, but possibly just a little undercooked. The veal chop was divine bone in, tender, very lightly breaded with mozzarella and a little red sauce. Osteria is a great place for Italian dining in Naples.
