What leerichardr dislikes about Twisted Fork:
I made a reservation for 5:30 PM and arrived at 5:25 PM. We were told to sit anywhere but waited for 45 minutes without even receiving a menu. A couple that came in at 6:00 PM was served before us, even though their order was taken at 6:05 PM. We decided to leave the restaurant at 6:15 PM as we were still waiting for service. This was the worst service I have ever experienced. View all feedback.
We enjoyed our meals and appetizers at this restaurant. The food was very good and the service was friendly as well. The prices were reasonable as the portion sizes were very good. The patio is very nice as well.
If you happen to find yourself in the tiny community of Mt Albert, ON you have to eat here! We came on a whim after we found out that Tuesday was "burger day." All there signature burgers, with fries, were only $10. And what a burger!!!!!They have a wide variety of taste profiles that are just begging to be tasted. I settled on the "jalapeño, mango chutney, cheddar and bacon" burger and my wife had the "pineapple, roasted red pepper and Swiss." Almost went for a "blue cheese and pancetta." The burgers were fresh cooked to order, half pound monsters that were served piping hot, with the melting cheese dripping off them. And the taste was out of this world. Don't know how the chef knew to put these flavours together, but I don't care anymore. He knew exactly what he was doing. Served with the burgers were hand cut fries that were also worth coming back for. I can't recommend these burgers enough. All freshly made. Come and figure out your taste.
Nice find in Mount Albert. The staff and service was excellent. Our meals were fresh and unique and the menu had a large selection to fit every taste. Highly recommended.
We've been visiting this restaurant since its earlier days, and it still offers great prices, excellent service, and delicious food! We come here at least once a week!
I came here Tuesday for lunch and decided to order their chicken wings since it was half price chicken wing day. I got eight wings and sweet potato fries. The fries were really good, crisp and flavourful. The wings were huge. Gigantic. Great value for money (especially on Tuesdays). However, the wings were severely lacking in seasoning. I'm not talking about the coating of sauce, I'm talking about the meat itself. Once I bit through the saucy exterior, the fleshy interior was just bland. So bland. I had to salt these babies. I have never in my life had to salt chicken wings in a restaurant. Usually they're salt bombs (so you'll order more beer, natch). These people need to brine these wings. Do something to get some salt into the interior. It was certainly a shame because these wings could have been topnotch. The service, on the other hand, was exceptional. There was one woman taking care of the entire dining room and she was doing so flawlessly. She was super friendly. Her pacing was spot on. Not a single complaint there.
