**Dining Experience at a Local Gem: A Mixed Bag** Recently, a visit to a beloved local restaurant revealed a dichotomy of experiences. While some diners praised the generous portions and standout dishes like the biscuit breakfast platter with bacon and hollandaise, others encountered disappointing service and food quality. Common concerns included long wait times, inexperienced staff, and issues with food freshness, such as dried chicken and cold dishes. Despite these setbacks, several patrons expressed loyalty to the restaurant, emphasizing its potential for excellence. As the establishment navigates staffing and consistency challenges, it remains a spot worth trying for those in the area, with the hope of a more polished experience.
The biscuit breakfast platter was amazing! We had one topped with bacon and hollandaise sauce, and another with sausage and country gravy. The servings were definitely generous!
My husband and I used to love dining at Bricks. The food was fantastic, and the waitstaff were seasoned, friendly, and attentive. Sadly, things have changed a lot. They’ve lost all their experienced staff, and now the waitresses are young, inexperienced, and often rude. Don’t expect condiments to be offered—you have to ask, and even then, you might be met with attitude. Even something as simple as getting butter for your baked potatoes turns into a struggle. We’ve both decided not to come back.
I tried the buffet and found the dried chicken surprisingly flavorful. The ribs were mediocre, and although I didn’t sample the fish, it looked dry. The main downside, however, was the large number of flies in the restaurant, which was very unpleasant.
Excellent truck stop food. A wide selection to choose from. Good value, hearty meals prepared well. Family friendly, recommend stopping when passing through.
Normally our food is amazing and so is the service but today we waited 45 minutes to get our food. My fries weren?t cooked all the way, I ordered bacon on my sandwich and didn?t get that either. My boyfriend got the old fashioned hot hamburger sandwichand mashed potatoes and it was cold. It wasn?t busy at all- maybe short staffing today? Regardless, this was the WORSTexperience we?ve ever had.
