Nice hotel, with decent but slightly dated rooms. Great food and service especially enjoyed the two lunches I had. Staff were polite and helpful.
Refsnes Gods Hotell is idyllically located on Jeløya, just a short walk from beaches and coastal paths along the Oslo Fjord. The hotel is venerable and classic and is surrounded by a beautiful garden with seating areas for those who want to relax or enjoy a drink. The hotel's interior is characterized by original art from various famous Norwegian artists and is an experience in itself. The hotel offers bicycle rental and also has an outdoor hot tub for those guests who want a refreshing bath. There is free wireless network throughout the hotel area. The guest room appeared clean and well maintained and consist of a sitting area, minibar, work desk, Nespresso machine and a minibar with a good selection of drinks and snacks. However, there was no air conditioning in the room which appeared to be somewhat hot. The bed was nicely made with freshly ironed linen, a hotel pillow and a small pillow. The mattress was of a high standard and provided good sleep quality. The bathroom was clean and in good condition. The common areas appeared to be clean and in good condition. The hotel has several living rooms as well as a bar and restaurant. In summer, there is also food and drink served outdoors in the hotel garden. Breakfast was served as a buffet and had a good selection of both hot and cold dishes. The various dishes seemed to be of good quality and raw materials from several local producers were used, which helped to top the impression. The staff in the breakfast room appeared to be present and friendly and did a very good job. Most of the staff at the hotel appeared to be cheerful and friendly, but I found that the level of service varied somewhat among the staff at the outdoor terrace. The hotel director was present and took the time to chat with the guests both during dinner and at check-out, which was perceived as positive and pleasant. All in all, a great hotel that I would happily recommend to others and that I would happily visit again.
Beautiful location, very friendly staff and decent rooms for a good price. Breakfast and restaurant menu is excellent.
Getting a drink from the bar is something that definitely makes you grow older. Because here it takes winter to mittens to get anything. And on a lower level, a Danish boat itself. Tried eating in the restaurant Munch Over 2 occasions. Here there is little that can refer to Munch and is associated with him in particular features such as symbolism and expressionism. You should not expect hot food. Here it is also clear to 'save ' on ..... namely kitchen competence. With prices in the Michelin range, just 25 minutes away by train, you could have the most positive taste experience of all time, but here at Godset, food is prepared to such a low standard that it almost feels like you are on a hidden camera.
