Nestled in the picturesque D'Albora Marina at Spit Mosman, this restaurant offers a charming atmosphere with scenic waterfront views. While the dining experience shows promise, opinions on the food vary. Highlights include delicious seafood like freshly shucked oysters and baby snapper, alongside standout desserts such as tiramisu. However, some dishes, like the Spaghetti frutti di mare, left diners wanting more. Service is a mixed bag: while some staff excel with attentive care, others could use improvement. Overall, the restaurant combines a lively vibe with good food, making it a worthy spot for a cozy meal, especially in summer.
Enjoy the dinner in this small interesting Italian restaurant of the D'Albora Marinas on the Spit. We had air-dried Angus Bresaola - Rocket - Parmesan as antipasti. We shared the network; Charcoal patchcock - peperonata sauce with smoked capsicum - rosemary and angus (marble 5), caramelized onions with rocket .... and tiramisus for dessert! ... with my typical double espresso .. Of course :) Grief Capriccio Bresaola was fantastic! Spercatcock and steak perfectly prepared ... Simple aromas makes a perfect dish when ingredients are respected. Grief Tiramisu was a real honest Tiramisu. No new, chic version that is probably ruined with the attempt to be chicing. I just loved it. Keep the food real - and it's good. Grief You also have nice wines .. ask from the employees. Really good, fast, professional service. Know your food well. Grief --------- Grief Revisited 1.6.2017 Grief Had baby snapper, Yellowfin tuna and squid for the beginning. Everything's great, still # 4 as rating. Good place!
My husband and I went to breakfast and we were shocked by the unfriendly service. The staff seemed to be busy with serving customers so that we waited politely and patiently for 10 minutes and wait patiently until my husband approached one of the staff and told her that we were waiting for a table for breakfast. She told us that they take one of the free tables. When we went to the table, another staff asked what we did, and told us that the breakfast service was closed and they serve only. There were already two women who are already waiting for takeabway coffee, which was also completely ignored. I have never encountered an unfriendly place that you feel so invisible. We went away, knowing, we never come back.
Excesses freshly remaining oysters with a fantastic glass white while we watch the sun over the boats at the Spieß-Marina! I ask you ... On a Balmin summer evening in Sydney where would you prefer to be! Only 10 minutes booked before he arrived so happy to get the best table closest to the water! FULL HOUSE BTW. Baby snapper with olives, grapes and capers and black angus with caramelized onions and rocket salad. Tiramisu to exclude everything. Who cares when the service is a small "Fiji time". I am chilled and watched the sunset.
Came here for an early valentines dinner. Husband proposed after Dinner at Omeggio but it was closed so he booked Chiosco which is right next door. Beautiful location and good atmosphere. A much more relaxed boaty vibe. Food was well priced. The tasting menu looked appealing for $65pp but due to not eating red meat, there would be too many changes so we opted to order from the menu. Food was good in portion size. Everything was just ok, nothing amazingly special but just ok. Highlight for me was dessert. I'm a sweets lover and the tiramisu and Nutella Bombs were great! <br/ Waitstaff need more training. The one bloke with the glasses and shaved head, probably head waiter was excellent, asked us about our meal and described the dishes. Other staff not so great; forgetting wine, share plates etc. if all staff were trained like this bloke the experience would hVe been a 4/5 not a 3.5/5.<br/ Would like to see a few more specials added if I were to come back. <br/
