We sat outside, which looked like the old village square. Service was attentive and friendly, present, despite a bit of a distance to the main restaurant. Food was prepared fresh and was very tasty. What we really enjoyed was the tranquil, peaceful atmosphere. How pleasant. View all feedback.
Dined in the off-season during our stay at the hotel and we had such a pleasant experience! The three-course prix fixe menu was delicious and a great value. Good wine and port, and kind and attentive service. (Dinner was served inside the Pure Monchique Hotel building)

We had such a wonderful time at dinner here and then breakfast in the morning! The hard working staff really takes good care of you Dinner was great. Huge buffet of soup, fresh bread, marinated olives, charcuterie meats and cheeses, bacalau, creamy pork, grilled veggies, and rice. Beautifully laid out, and tasted amazing. Great value. Dessert and coffee was very delish! (Fudge brownies, fruit, and Delta espresso maker. The jazz pianist was fun and upbeat and was the perfect combo with our Monchique red wine ; The breaskfast buffet came with our room but didn’t disappoint. Again beautifully laid out, tons of options, tons of juices and drinks also. Thank you for the great experience!
PT Comida: estava deliciosa, pedimos a Dourada Termal e o Frango Termal. O peixe tem bastante espinhas, cuidado. O vinho branco para acompanhar é uma dica. Serviço: ao chegarmos, o garçom nos disse que não havia mesas, que estavam todas reservadas. Insistimos, dizendo que eram só duas pessoas, e depois de mencionar novamente que precisávamos reservar com antecedência, ele se dirigiu ao gerente ? e depois nos conduziu à mesa. Durante todo o tempo que ficamos lá nem mesmo 50% das mesas foram ocupadas, e saímos minutos antes de fecharem o restaurante, logo não entendi o motivo para essa abordagem. Atmosfera: é um casarão antigo reformado. Uma arquitetura sutil, com decorações singelas mescladas com uma pegada moderna de bom gosto. Estava um pouco quente no interior do restaurante. O banheiro foi minha parte favorita, com paredes e arcos originais em tijolinho aparente. Poderiam permitir que sentássemos na praça externa do restaurante, uma área muito charmosa. During our entire stay, not even 50% of the tables were occupied, and we left just minutes before the restaurant closed, so I didn’t really understand the reason for that approach. Atmosphere: it’s a renovated old mansion — subtle architecture, with simple decorations blended with a tasteful modern touch. It was a bit warm inside the restaurant. The bathroom was my favorite part, with original exposed brick walls and arches. They could allow guests to sit in the restaurant’s outdoor square, a very charming area.
In recent years or so we have only visited this restaurant to be mild or very disappointed. After we read the last reviews, we asked ourselves if we were to interrupt this one again, but we had a friend on holiday with us and wanted. show this pretty part of the algarve. to say we were pleasantly surprised, was an understatement. we were greeted by a friendly waiter (the maitre d or manager would I suspect) and shown to a table in shadow. eating was the best we ever had here. the mentioned heart suggested that we moved tables for dessert, so that we were still in the shadow when the sons moved. I have rarely desserts, but the orange and coward with mandeleis was a regional joy. from the beginning to the end, the meal was fabulous.
