We booked late and we’re unable to get a table upstairs. Kevin reassured us that we’d be fine for a bar room table. We arrived On Friday the 13th September. Let’s start by saying that the food is all excellent. The steaks are as good as ever. Flavourful and delicious. One of our party had onion rings and they were huge delight. The sautéed garlic potatoes were perfectly scrumptious. I chose healthy veg, with cheese sauce of course. Perfectly cooked. I tried my friend’s gin and I was very impressed. I’m converted to these new flavours. I’ll have to return soon to have my own. I spent 11 days in Ireland and this was the best meal that I had. Oh by the way the service is warm and friendly. I look forward to returning.
During a whiskey tasting there yesterday evening, hosted by kevin and the andys crew. they would not have done enough for the 50 of us who were there.
I lived in monaghan for six years and today my first time was to eat here. the staff was friendly and polite and knowledgeable about the dishes. they were righteous to the requirements of each individual. eating was nice and very generous in portions. we were all well fed and no hurry from the personal really relaxed and pleasant experience. in the coming weeks we will be back to 100%.
Great for a quick bite or a great night outside.hmm I enjoyed my steak, but the other 3 were hard
