Without a doubt, this is the best sushi spot in Kansas City! I’m a big fan of Kobe Q and take my friends, family, and out-of-town visitors here whenever I can. Everything on the menu is delightful, from the udon noodles to the sushi to the fried dumplings. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. The atmosphere is fantastic, and it’s generally quite calm, making it easy to find a seat. View all feedback.

My son and I love sushi and wanted to try Kobi-q for the first time. We ordered and split the tempura shrimp, Korean fried chicken Szechuan style, Sci-Fi Movie roll and Spicy Tuna +crunch roll. Each item was literally flawless. The shrimp tempura was fresh and mild, and the Korean fried chicken was delicately battered and perfectly spiced. The sushi was absolutely the best sushi either my son or I have ever eaten. So so SO much better than what I?d become used to elsewhere.
I was itching to try this place out for a long long time and finally got the opportunity to do so tonight with my boyfriend. We initially went in at around 2:30 in the afternoon and was told they only serve the Poké bowl during lunchtime. Since I was craving sushi, we decided to come back after dinner hours were in effect (4:30 PM onwards). I was eager to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to sample any food. I arrived tonight without a reservation, unaware that one was needed, as their website didn’t mention it. There were just two of us, and the server appeared quite annoyed by our presence. We were essentially told that we could either sit at the counter or "find another place to go" because the tables were reserved for a large group. Well, that's disappointing.
