Cava Caffe seems to be a hidden gem on Kent Street, offering delicious salads and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. The happy hour starting at 2pm is definitely a plus. However, some customers have had negative experiences, including long waits on weekdays and a limited menu. One reviewer also mentioned receiving a poor macchiato and encountering rude behavior from the owner. On the other hand, many customers have praised the cafe for its great food, good service, and relaxed environment. The mango smoothie and cookie cake come highly recommended. Overall, Cava Caffe seems to have a mix of positive and negative reviews, with some excellent food options and a cozy, sophisticated vibe.

Finally, a cafe which just get it! Great food/menu, good service and an environment where you can relax and read a book without being hassled or to have a business meeting. My recommendation is the mango smoothy and the cookie cake! View all feedback.

A lovely cafe with a sophisticated inner city vibe. I had the ' Avo Feta with linseed & Lemon' and yummy Lemongrass & Ginger tea. I will be returning for another meal soon! :)

Looks good - but don't go - long waits on weekdays and menu is very limited - really nothing of substance. Worst of all though was the way I was confronted by owner - I advised the waitress that long macchiato served was not correct - what followed was 10 minutes of overheard rude commentary, another representation of a macchiato that was more milk than coffee and then direct aggression when spoken to. Unacceptable... send your staff back to barista school to learn how to make coffee before you insult your customers!
On a beautiful sunny Sunday we decided to visit cava caffe in the rocks! after a short walk from wynyard we were ready for a great brunch, and the farewell was not disappointed. while our firm was prepared, we started with a coffee and chai latte. the coffee was strong, without being overwhelming and the chai was on the square – beautiful and milky with a large spicy mix.
