Chans restaurant, once known for cooking food fresh in front of customers, has been receiving mixed reviews lately. Customers have complained about issues such as finding bug legs in their meals, poor food quality, and unprofessional customer service. Some have expressed disappointment in the decline of the restaurant's food quality and taste. However, others have praised the Combo Lo Mein and sesame chicken dishes as delicious and satisfying. I feel so disappointed about chan's restaurant. I found two bug legs on my meal. I called them and explained what happened and tell them i was on my way so they can check it. But BIG mistakes called them ahead , they prepared and told me it was bean sprouts and that they don't have bugs there. Lol. I had a bean sprout and the bug leg in one of the picture and doesn't look the same. And when i touched it on my finger it was just a different one from the other. They charged me anyway. ???? I hope the health department will visit them soon to double check they don't have bugs in the restaurant and at least clean the place.
What happened to the food quality and great tasting food this restaurant once had?? We walked in last Saturday night and another couple was headed out from dining in and as we crossed paths the gentleman said to my husband that they drove an hour to eat there at their favorite Chinese food place and they were disappointed, the food was not good and that Chan's was off their game that night. My husband and I were looking forward to eating there and looked at each other and said nope, not wasting money and time if its not going to be good, so we went for pizza. Well tonight for dinner (take out), we decided to give it a try. Please note, we have been long time customers of Chan's and its our number 1 Chinese food place of choice and that we have never had an issue with the food here. This $40 mistake resulted in overall bland food, dry pork in the pork fried rice, sweet tasting (not Spicy) oily Sczechuan beef, fried rice that tasted burnt with toasted shredded carrots, overcooked/dried out egg and even a black burnt piece of i don't know what in the fried rice. We were so disappointed and couldn't believe the bad quality and taste of the food. We didn't finish any of our dishes, we should of just took it back and complained (that's what most people would do and thats what you are prob thinking as you read this), but we didn't have the energy to do so, time to waste driving up there/time there to complain and time to drive back home, so we decided it was a waste of money and that it is what it is No longer any good, in our opinion. I have just read similar reviews so I feel better knowing I am not alone in thinking this. We should have just got pizza for dinner or for the $40 I could have made some stir fry for alot cheaper and better tasting. Sorry Chan's you lost a loyal customer. We will now stick to China Imperial.
The food was delicious, with generous portions, and the staff was extremely friendly. You won't be disappointed—definitely give them a try!
In all the years I’ve ordered from this restaurant, I've never been let down! The flavors are consistently excellent, just like the service. I've moved in and out of the area, but I still make special trips to enjoy their food! A few months ago, I placed an order that totally wowed my girlfriend, especially the cream cheese rolls (which we can’t find anywhere else!). I ordered 10 cooked and 20 uncooked, and they delivered like champions! Now I have 20 in my freezer, but the 10 cooked ones quickly disappeared — oops! Everything you order here is amazing!
The chicken soup was delicious and there was plenty of it; I even took a full container to go. The lomein combination had the perfect amount of flavor, and the noodles were just right. I will definitely be coming back!
