Was Anonym at Crotasc a mag?
we were allowed to enjoy the hospitality of this beautiful place. the service competent and attentive. the food and drink card diverse, the kitchen at very good level and the host in the background draw the threads. we were all very satisfied and can recommend this locally as cheap. This has been one of the finest restaurants in the region…creative spectacular regional food for the last 10+ years. Today restaurant was 3/4 full but things have changed. Service was slow, they forgot to ask about wine w the food and the main (not standard on the menu) was without flavor or salt. The gnocchi bianchi were made differently in long strips and floating in a soup of butter (more than usual). I hope this was an anomaly but fear the kitchen or leadership may have changed.
Have eaten here at least 20 times..superb wines, try the Passione and Corta Di Cama...brilliant price fix traditional menu at a SUPER reasonable €40, truly embarrasses American Restaurants crazy high prices!! Highly, Highly recommend this truly GREAT restaurant with an amazing House Wine collection, and AWESOME wine list....
On my first visit (over 10 years ago), the seasonal menu included fresh deer steak with a cherry reduction sauce using ingredients from their own garden (they also have a nice sized vineyard). I was hooked. I've been there twice more over the years (any time I'm near that area of Italy) and every time, the meal whether from the fixed menu or the seasonal one is wonderful. The portions are generous, the ingredients incredibly fresh and the presentation worthy of a photo.
Beautiful location, excellent cuisine and courtesy of the service. Vote 10. We will definitely return!
