I hate leaving a bad review on a place that used to be such good food. It used to be authentic, with amazing food, great taste, and now its soups, burgers, and a new management which turned it into American food, and often not even cooked completely. I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Spinach and potato are my favorite, they are like home. I spent two days in Boise on a street and had to come two times.
This restaurant was very nice. The decoration and the entire atmosphere was appealing. Music and decor is a recall of traditional Turkish and Bosnian styles. I ordered the chicken and beef sowers, and I was satisfied with the portion size. The meat was very well seasoned and it came with a good part of wild rice. My wife and father ordered the combo plate that came with a mixture of meat and vegetables. All their meats were seasoned for perfection with a delicious concoction of herbs and spices. I can't stop it. Overall, the price was not bad for lunch or dinner for the family. The staff was polite and the whole place had a close family feeling. Try it out
Sofra is a hidden treasure in Meridian. I went in without facing tried Bosnian good before and now I’m a regular at least every other week. I’ve never had a bad meal. So delicious!
