Menu
Here you will find the menu of The Train Yard in Melbourne. At the moment, there are 27 menus and drinks on the list.
Nestled on Burgundy Street, this vibrant restaurant offers a mix of delightful and disappointing dining experiences. While some guests rave about the excellent coffee, perfect poached eggs, and beautifully presented meals, others highlight issues with food quality and service. The lovely outdoor area and lively atmosphere make it a great spot for socializing, yet inconsistent service and a few poorly executed dishes have been noted. Despite some criticisms, many patrons return for the generous portions and unique menu options, indicating that the restaurant has potential for both casual lunches and special occasions. Overall, it’s worth a visit to explore its offerings.

What User dislikes about The Train Yard:
The Chicken burger I had was pitiful it left a bad taste in my mouth for over an hour. I only had 2 bites and left the rest. They did even ask what was wrong with the food, but happy to take your money. The roll was burnt which gave the chicken a bitter taste. I would not recommend this unless you want poor food and service. View all feedback.
My sister and I dined at this restaurant today. Although a bit pricey, the food was delicious. My sister ordered the Chilli Scrambled Eggs and loved it. I tried the unique Panko Eggs with smoked Bacon on roti, and it was fantastic. Just beware of the freshness of the chillies if you're not a fan of spiciness. The only area for improvement would be some of the staff, as they did not match the quality of the food and atmosphere.
I recently dined at The Train Yard in Heidelberg and had an amazing time. The mango and passionfruit smoothie I ordered was generously sized, ice-cold, and even came with a spoon! The Wagyu Beef Burger, topped with creamy avocado, was bursting with flavor. The accompanying chips were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was exceptional – every staff member was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant!
