Was Anonym at Thai Lantern a mag?
We eat here frequently and Adrian is always very pleasant. Found is generously sized and tasty. Eat in is a little cramped. Drinks list in accessible and pitched at casual dining. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Thai Lantern:
Ordered the fried Barra it came out very dry and not enough meat for a child let alone two adults as promised. After pointing this out she said she would look after us brought out an entree size Penang. then when we went to pay she charged us half for the fish plus full Penang. Tried to negotiate to not pay for fish but she charged card already. very unhappy won’t be going back again. Also $28 for 4 small beers? Hot... View all feedback.
We eat here a lot and it is always good. Not a big restaurant and suggest booking a table. Find food is always tasty and good. Service is quick and friendly. Good for share plate food.
Had never been here before and was a random choice because we didnt know the area. So glad we found it!! We shared entrees of veg spring rolls and veg curry puffs. The puffs were fabulous. So tasty with lovely pastry. For mains we had mussaman duck, green duck curry, crispy pork and vegetables in garlic. Everything was excellent. Not an average dish amongst them. We finished the lot, groaning in happy fullness. Accompanied by singha beer, we had a great meal. Service was welcoming and efficient. Go!
A group of 6 of us ate here tonight, and we were all satisfied with the authentic Thai flavours over a variety of dishes provided in a very pleasant atmosphere. WIll happily return in the future for a Thai fix in Ivanhoe.
This small restaurant is cozy and clean, but the highlight is the absolutely delicious Thai food. I will definitely be returning in the future.
I have visited Thailand many times, but the Pad Thai at this restaurant is truly unmatched. It is absolutely delicious!
