Was Anonym at Saluministi a mag?
This cafe/restaurant was recommended by a friend to go and try their new venue close to where we were staying. Checked out their facebook page to see the gorgeous food and bombelone pastries (that my friend recommended). So we went today around midday (once we found an elusive car park). Lovely venue with open kitchen and great fresh produce on view. We ordered 2 paninis and bombelones. Our food arrived a few minutes... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Saluministi:
Where to begin?! I checked out the website before I went and I expected so much more! When I arrived, none of the staff greeted me; my friend arrived and we eventually took a table when a couple left. A staff member took away the plates and left a messy table. We had to ask for someone to return to wipe it.The waitress walked around inside and outside trying to find who the orders were for: oddly, they don't have num... View all feedback.
A friend and I went there after reading an article, it is tucked away opposite Dockland Library. We ordered coffee, Nutella doughnut and a ricotta cannoli. The coffee and food was great. For us the service was not there, there were approximately 3 people in the cafe when we were there. There was one guy who worked there, who was sitting at one of the tables with his laptop, he wasn't very friendly and we felt he was bothered by use sitting at his table (large table). The person who served us was ok, but appeared to want to move us along even though there was hardly anyone there. We felt like the staff thought they were to 'cool' to interact with us. Anyhow we made the trek from the other end of Collins St and were really looking forward to it. We will not be going back as we were not made to feel like our custom was wanted.

Our food arrived a few minutes with a little pickled veg as a side (which I must say were very very nice). The paninis were amazing. Great fresh salad and amazing sausage on mine.Thinking on going again tomorrow morning for breakfast before I head home....would recommend this place to everyone. Great family atmosphere, with lovely staff and great food.
The guys at Saluministi are a family owned and operated business who are passionate about every stage of their product. They deliver a simple menu consisting of succulent pork favourites. I have tried most of their menu items, salami's, and coffee, all delivered to the highest standard. The Saluministi team provide friendly whole-hearted, and diligent service, the reason I loyally frequent and tell everyone I met about them. Great work guys and all the best with your new Melbourne CBD setup!
This café is a fantastic little spot to grab a bite to eat. Although hot chocolate wasn't listed on their menu, they do offer it and it is incredibly rich and delicious. The croissant was tasty, although it would have been even better if it had been warmed up before serving. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit.
