Menu
Here you will find the menu of Gochi in Melbourne. At the moment, there are 31 meals and drinks on the menu.
The Japanese restaurant offers a variety of options from Bento boxes to sushi rolls. Some diners found the food disappointing, with tepid rice and gristly chicken skewers, while others raved about the tender and juicy pork belly barbecue. The atmosphere is busy, with tables close together, but the staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable, though some mention feeling irked by a credit card surcharge. Overall, the restaurant provides a quick and light meal option, with good service and decent food, making it worth a repeat visit for many customers.

Was Jude Armstrong at Gochi a mag?
We had pre-concert dinner here.We were conscious of the time so we needed some decent food pretty quickly. This place just didn't disappoint. We had pork belly barbecue and it was tender, juicy and flavorsome. We loved it so much that we even ordered another portion after our main meals which are a variety of their Bento boxes. It was priced reasonably too. What Hulda Lakin dislikes about Gochi:
Ordered the Yakitori Bento box. Tepid rice and cabbage, mince, squid and gristly chicken skewers, some scraps of brightly coloured pickle and two heavily salted chicken nuggets does not a Bento box make. Disappointingly unappetising. View all feedback.
Best place to come to for whatever situationDefinitely safe for a pre cinema feed so fear not. Food is authentic.
If you had to eat the same meal for the rest of your life what would it be? Mine is SUSHI! It's filling, delicious, affordable, easy and healthy! Ticks all
Over priced sushi, not a huge selection to choose from. Tempura Prawn sushi - ok Teriyaki Chicken sushi - no teriyaki flavour Californian roll - not enough flavour Seaweed salad - great flavour Good customer service.
Travelling on business, wanted something quick and light for a late supper. Of all the Crown eateries along Southbank Gochi is probably the most understated. It offers a choice of takeaway or eat-in dining, and a limited but good drinks list. I started with a plate of assorted Nigiri (Salmon, Tuna, and a white fish sushi.) The wasabi was very hot, the soy as expected. I finished with two sate-sticks of chicken and beef - neither adventurous but nonethless well-cooked and a fine subtle glaze and vegetable garnish. No alternative dipping sauce was offered with the coojked meats. Sapporo and Kirin beer was on offer. Two nights later I tried a modestly-priced sake (cold) and tried the pork. Again good but not particualrly special. Service was quick, with a smile, the second visit greeted with recognition. Nice, given the hundreds through there each day. I was out in 35 minutes on both occasions and would add it to my Melbourne list, despite it's lack of great difference. Its pricing is good and service excellent, which brought the overall experience to a 4, rather than 3 for the food alone. And it was exactly what I was expecting it to be from its simple but quite broad menu There was nothing adverse, and in fast-food quick-turnover places that in itself is a major plus. I'll be back.
