There are plenty of food trucks at Welcome to Thornbury, and among them, Chef Indivan was the only one I hadn’t tried before. I ordered the rice with paneer, which came in very large portions for the price—definitely generous compared to many other trucks. The rice was a bit dry and lacked the rich flavors I’ve experienced at Indian restaurants. The paneer itself was good, and the sauce was flavorful but quite heavy, overshadowing the cheesy texture of the paneer. I also tried a chicken skewer, and honestly, I wish I had ordered five of them! It was one of the best grilled chicken pieces I’ve ever had. As for the ambience, it’s a food truck, so there’s only so much to expect. The menu was confusing and seemed poorly designed, just a few printed pages without a clear layout. The wait time for the food was almost ridiculous—I was about to check on my order—and I had hoped for a quick takeaway but was disappointed. Overall, I’d probably skip this truck if other options were available, except for those fantastic chicken skewers!
Outstanding food highly recommended to everyone! Authentic South Indian cuisine that is both healthy and delicious, all at a very reasonable price!
