The roll sandwich, instead of a bun, was a true work of art! It tasted incredible, and I nearly ordered another one. The Portobello sandwich for vegetarians is fantastic. The server and cook were friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was casual. What more could you ask for?
The best place I've eaten for years....great. check out this breakfast....a must try. they use a lot of food, but the rolli sandwich is the flagship.
I've never written a review for something. not on rolli. you sign rolli sandwich to die! her special, the shrimp pop? my taste buds died and went into the heavens.
This was my first time finally making it to their new location just west of downtown Melbourne, and it was everything I had missed, plus some great improvements. I had my 2 5 year olds in tow, which as always made things exponentially more... let 's go with adventurous ! Since it had been ages and I honestly had no idea what they served beyond Rolli sandwiches and the best fries ever, I grabbed a laminated menu and popped outside there 's actually an inside now, complete with seating... And bathrooms! I figured I 'd corral the kids at an outdoor picnic table while I tried to convince them they loved Rolli sandwiches as much as I do (and they used to, back when they were comically tiny and eating them while sitting in their stroller), but we discovered the most helpful and wonderful thing any restaurant can offer harried parents: A PLAY AREA!! And this is a great one; a giant sandbox with trucks and scoops and whatnot... And actually COVERED! Well, not like with a roof but with those shade triangles, which is more than almost any outdoor play area offers, for whatever reason. Maybe I couldn 't get them to venture off the kids ' menu, but I COULD get them to burn off enough energy to be only moderately stressful (and the staff was absolutely wonderful, in general and with the kidlets)... And that, dear reader, counts as a win in my book. Not trying to give short shrift to the food, but I can hear my children growing feral in the other room. Let me say that the fries beat Five Guys ' hands down, and are the best and freshest things ever to be deep fried and salted to perfection. My Rolli Jr. was (as always) the size of my head and glorious. I honestly don 't particularly like any item on the sandwich, but combined in the magic way they do it? Sublime. The littlest kid eats like an anemic bird usually, but wolfed down half his respectably sized grilled cheese and about half the fries in his kids meal. Mr. Five year old got the kids menu hot dog and fries, and holy heck that was a giant all beef proper Hot Dog!!! Like I 've seen less impressive hot dogs at legit hot dog joints. Kiddo shouted/told everyone he thought worked there or might be interested that it was the best hot dog he 'd ever had... And I think he might have even meant it! Soooo long story short: everything is good, staff is patient and talented, the fries are manna from heaven, they have an outdoor kid play area... OH!! And bless their hearts, they have beer. Cheers!
