The dishes were presented beautifully and the quality of ingredients and flavors were all exceptional. The service was also exceptional and the atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect, with background music playing at a low volume. The chef deserves top marks for the care, attention, and obvious pride in their work. The wine list was also very good and I will definitely be returning.

We arrived at the restaurant about 15 minutes early and were directed to the bar. We ordered drinks, two glasses of prosecco, and were left to pour them ourselv... read more We arrived at the restaurant about 15 minutes early and were directed to the bar. We ordered drinks, two glasses of prosecco, and were left to pour them ourselves at our table. After waiting for 35 minutes without being seated, we had to go back to the main entrance to be shown to our table which was wobbly. It seemed like we had been forgotten. The service was okay after that. The Valentines tasting menu was the only option, with six courses that were hit or miss. Some dishes like the cod and macaron were good, while others like the 'welsh rarebit' ice cream and lamb main were not enjoyable. It felt like the chef was trying too hard to showcase their skills without making sure the dishes actually worked well together. Compared to other restaurants in the area, the Artistry may struggle to attract customers with this quality of experience. We might return in the future, but only if we can't find a table elsewhere for a certain date.

Left to find a table and pour the drinks themselves. Chat and then 35 minutes later, because no one had come to take us to a table in the adjoining restaurant, we asked ourselves back to the main entrance and were then shown to our wobble table. I think we've been forgotten. After that the service was fine). Valentine's tasting menu was the only option; six courses where the cook did his best, I think. Some courses were successful cod course well, Macaron nice, Quail was OK) and others were not 'welsh rarebit' ice cream thing was very strange, lamb main was bad. I have left the feeling that the cook had tried too hard to show a number of cooking skills, but forget to ensure that the dishes 'worked'. In view of the excellent class of other restaurants in the local area, I think the artistry can fight to build a patronage with this quality of experience. We may come back, but only if we are not able to find a table for a particular date elsewhere.
