Though patrons appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and stunning views, many express dissatisfaction with the menu's limited options and inconsistent service. Long wait times and the necessity to fetch drinks personally detract from the experience, especially given the restaurant's upscale pricing. While the food generally receives praise for its quality—particularly the fresh seafood—issues like watery cocktails and lackluster appetizers have been noted. Overall, Wilson's proves ideal for drinks and ambiance but needs to elevate its service and dining experience.
I enjoyed a delightful lunch on Sunday. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The restaurant looks fantastic since its renovation, and the food was absolutely amazing. We loved every moment and will definitely be back!
After reading reviews from last year and earlier, it was clear that this restaurant had some improvements to make. However, following our recent visit, it's evident that those issues have been addressed. The space has been beautifully renovated, boasting stunning views and a bright, airy atmosphere. The staff provided excellent and friendly service, and the quality and flavor of the food were exceptional. The sand crab lasagna, in particular, was outstanding, along with the Reef and Beef for those looking for something hearty. Ammar, the host, goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. Based on our visit, I'd recommend overlooking older reviews; the restaurant has definitely improved for the better!
I had the chance to revisit one of my favorite seafood restaurants just after Christmas. The location at Manly Boat Harbour is fantastic, with plenty of activity on the water. My meal included fresh and delicious oysters for the appetizer, along with calamari and a salad. The service was friendly and prompt. I also noticed that the restaurant is undergoing some significant renovations, but it didn't detract from my dining experience at all! I highly recommend this place!
Afterward, the restaurant contacted me via email to ask about my visit. I took the opportunity to share my observations and mention my partner's situation, but shockingly, I never received a response. The only email I got back was a marketing one, which prompted me to write this review as a warning to others. While the setting is lovely, I strongly advise caution regarding food safety, as it appears staff do not prioritize hand hygiene, and management seems indifferent to these concerns. You might want to just stick to drinks if you decide to go!
