Having read some glowing reviews we were very disappointed. They seemed to be trying hard but the fish was over cooked and tough and there was only one vegetarian option of boiled egg and mushrooms as a main course and mushroom rissoles as a starter but these were off the menu so they produced scrambled eggs and mushrooms instead. New kitchen and new wood fired oven. Really allows chef José to add new dimensions to an already stellar lineup of French inspired Portuguese dishes. He is always experimenting so don’t expect the same menu each time you go. Great staff super friendly and welcoming. A must go on your Ericeira food journey.
A great discovery ! A very cute and confortable place on a November evening. The service is attentive, nice and personalised and the food is incredible and home made, and you feel it ! A big plus for the homemade croquettes and duck ! Will hopefully come soon to continue the tasting !
I like this restaurant and I think the menu is interesting. There was just one problem. The food was unbelievably salty. It was almost delicious even through the salt, so this place might be worth another shot.
One of our favorite meals ever and the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Everything was fabulous… the food, wine, atmosphere, service. You could tell how much attention and thought went into each dish and we felt warmly welcomed from the minute we walked in. We shared the croquettes and sweet potato starters and had the lamb and pork belly for our main courses, then chocolate mousse for dessert. Highly recommend for a special meal in Ericeira!
