Where can you get a 3 course dinner for 10 Euros ? Restaurant Sena is the answer. You can have tapas at the bar of go into the adjacent restaurant where there a crisp clean table cloths and friendly service. Barajas is not known for fine dining and you might pay three times as much and not fair much better.
Pleasant place and good dinner for friends and business partners we found close to hotel. Staff ready to provide place for even bigger group of friends
Well, nice and good staff, very good food and beer as well, quick and friendly service even in the case of huge group of hungry people arrival. You can then split the group to smaller parts and sit down for coffee or another drink...
Took me a while to remember this bars name , and just read the last review have to jump to their defense. We had a hoot here 2 nights in a row they couldn`t have been more welcoming, language was a barrier but we got there in the end and the guys spent a lot of time and patience with us. The food we left it up to them all I said was anything but fish, we were given tasty tapas and (extremely) large whisky`s we had a laugh and if I was there again I would make a point of returning , it is what it looks like a typical spanish cafe bar, Great staff.
So I 'm in Madrid on business staying at a Hotel next to Barajas Airport in transit . I was so busy, that I didn 't notice the hours pass by and by the time I went to eat at the Hotel restaurant it was closed because of a convention and they recommended a restaurant around the corner. I really wish they didn 't. This place is horrible and dirty. When a restaurant seats you at a table that looks like it 's had linen covering the table for years it 's a bad sign. But I thought I 'm travelling and should be more open and less sensitive about these things. I felt like I should run away when my mixed salad came with canned white asparagus, canned corn, canned tuna, iceberg lettuce and onions, no sauce. The condiments dispensers on the table of olive oil and vinegar were so dirty and greasy that I had to use my wet naps. Still I thought let me not be judgemental and give them a chance. Next was the fish I ordered. It was supposed to be fresh and a la plancha it came like a fish that should have been thrown back into the ocean, it smelled terrible and possibly abused by unscrupulous kitchen help experimenting with something I dare not say or think of since I did eat a part of that fish. When a fish comes smothered with grease that is not olive oil or butter and then covered with a rainbow of spices and salt be suspicious! Definitely be suspicious, there is no reason to mask good fish in grease and so many different colors of spices unless it was described like that in the menu or you are in a country whose national dishes are spicy, refuse to eat it. I made mistakes in my life and this is one of them just chalk it up to that. I 'm one of those that are too embarrassed and too polite to make a seen but I should have, too polite to walk out after I was seated but I should have. Instead I let my manners suffocate and choke me into submission and forced myself to eat something which is akin to abuse and then pay for it all. That 's what I did and wish. I didn 't. I wish I had the courage to tell them to go to wherever but I didn 't, I sat like an idiot and continued and I guess got what I deserved. Please don 't repeat my mistake, first don 't eat. at the Sena restaurant next to Barajas airport and second have the balls to tell any restaurant that serves this kind of food go to hell and eat their own food or food. This place definitely has clientele maybe they 've been so regular that they have been blinded over the years, or maybe this place has a secret in one of their recipes that I 'm not aware of but one thing for sure, for a businessman in transit in Madrid this place is not even for tourists.
