Renowned for its incredibly fresh fish and generous rolls, the restaurant is a haven for sushi aficionados. Must-try items include innovative special rolls like Rosa Salmon and the Dragon roll, as well as delectable shrimp tempura and miso black cod. Although the dessert menu could be expanded, the creme brulee is a delightful highlight. Improved service and a creative cocktail menu ensure a fantastic dining experience, perfect for any occasion. Interesting menu options! We had sushi. Ask the server how many rolls to order for your group size. Wished the dessert menu was larger, but the creme brulee was very good.
Regrettably, I believe it's time to update my review and lower my rating. The sushi has consistently been getting an excessive amount of rice added to each roll...
Muramoto remains my favorite sushi restaurant in Madison, even after all these years. I've sampled Red, Takara, and Yume, but Muramoto continues to excel in quality and...
I've visited Muramoto several times with my sushi-loving daughter. During our most recent visit, the restaurant was as busy as ever, but we managed to get a table in just 20 minutes.
Sushi Muramoto offers the finest sushi you'll find between the two coasts, hands down. It's incredibly fresh, delicious, and has a unique flavor that sets it apart from any other sushi I've tried. I'd love to eat it every day, but I’m content with once a week. Make sure to sample the special rolls—they're all fantastic! The new Rosa Salmon is an instant favorite, the Dragon roll is fantastic, Godzilla is a reliable choice, and the Tarantula and Fire rounds out my top five. And there's more: they also serve the best shrimp tempura—be sure to ask for it crispy, paired with an incredible dipping sauce. The miso black cod is so delicious you won’t believe it’s a healthy option. I often order the teriyaki chicken with broccoli, which is quite surprising since I’ve never liked teriyaki dishes anywhere else. The service has greatly improved from being inconsistent years ago; it's now exceptional. Sushi Muramoto is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a family outing, a business lunch, dinner with friends, or a date. Keep in mind, they don't take reservations unless for large groups, but the wait is absolutely worth it.
