The coffee here is excellent, and the staff is exceptionally friendly—definitely an improvement compared to a few years ago. The atmosphere feels like a cozy college town coffee shop, allowing you to temporarily forget that you're in Opelousas. View all feedback.

Java used to be fantastic, with the best coffee around! It was a place I visited 2 to 3 times a week. However, during my last few visits over the past two months, I’ve been quite disappointed with my takeout orders. On one occasion, the red eye I ordered was cold, and another time, the Fredda I got didn’t even have any coffee in it. I also ordered an extra espresso shot that was missing. The coffee was great! We had Americanos with half half and an extra espresso shot. The shop seemed like it had seen a lot of history. Service was great.
Used to love it here. Now when i have gone there is a younger and older woman at register talking smack about customers. Like i said this is recent disappointments working there.
Great little coffee house. Relaxed seating. Friendly service. Good coffee! They have pastries — I did not try them but ever looked good. Great place for a meeting.
It’s was a horrible experience. The employee was rude! I was with my friend and she was completely rude!!! The coffee, milk shake was horrible. I order a caramel frappe and I didn’t taste not a drop of caramel. But overall, horrible.
