The food here is fantastic! I had the Shawarma plate, and the chicken was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The staff is very friendly, and Gilbert was especially kind. I would definitely come back again and again! View all feedback.
What Jay Lubow dislikes about Pita Café:
The food I tried was fresh and healthy, but unfortunately quite bland. It lacked garlic, lemon, spices, and pickled beets—all the elements I enjoy in Mediterranean cuisine. It's disappointing because you could tell the dishes were made with good ingredients and prepared fresh. However, they ultimately fell short in flavor and excitement. View all feedback.
This restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but it has a lovely atmosphere. However, they should improve their understanding of what tabouli really is. My friend ordered tabouli, and it had a strange flavor—there was no lemon or citrus, and it lacked the expected red color. It was definitely not a Mediterranean salad. The Turkish coffee priced at $5.00 tasted like coffee grounds and didn't have the deep, rich flavor typically associated with Turkish coffee; it didn't even resemble espresso. Despite these issues, I enjoyed the other dishes!

I absolutely love the chicken shawarma here, and the lamb is quite good as well. I've noticed that ordering in person is much quicker and definitely more affordable compared to using delivery apps. I usually place my order, take a quick look at the bakery next door, and return about eight minutes later to find my food ready. I’ve only ever done takeout from this place.
Great food great customer service. Elda at the front is so kind and patient great service.
Very consistent experience usually. Got the mix shawarma plate. Only feedback would that the meat was a bit salty this time. Hope next time its like usual. Their rice is really good too. Hummus and Baba ganoush were great too.
