Was RGYorkshire at Tidbit a mag?
Happened upon this small restaurant by chance but were pleased with what we experienced. The service staff were friendly and helpful. In very many Portuguese restaurants items such as bread, butter etc. are placed in the table and if you eat them then they are charged as extras. This was the same here but from the outset our waiter took the time to explain about how these were charged. Food quality was fine simple pr... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Tidbit:
We went here after walking around and this place looked interesting. Friendly welcoming we got from the waiter, the tables as previously mentioned are very close together. I would not recommend the chourico as we found this very fatty and not tasty at all. The food was ok, nothing special. Would i go here again, no as i think there are more other restaurants to explore. View all feedback.
Catch the cable car up to the old quarter of Lisbon with the rainbow colours buildings. On this street are many restaurants and Tidbits, is one to try. Stepping down inside onto large cool cobblestone flooring this is a relief from a days shopping. The waiter was charming and loaded with local knowledge. They offer an appetising menu with quality ingredients. I had the herrings and if you want to blend in and eat fish like a local- use your fingers, don’t be shy. Their sangrias are very nice too.
Very good service and nice meal! I had salmon in lemon sauce and my bf had a dish with octopus.Prices are very affordable
Tidbit serves traditional Portuguese petiscos (snacks) and traditional comida (food) from various regions of the country. The waiter recommended a dish typical of Alentejo, Açorda de Marisco (I think that’s the name). It’s basically a bowl of bread soaked in a broth with garlic, olive oil, herbs, shrimp and a poached egg on top. The waiter puts it down in front of you then proceeds to mush it all up. It looks awful!, but tastes really good! Comfort food at its best. A bit like risotto only with bread. And like risotto, very filling! Try it, you’ll like it.
Pleasant and smiling welcome. Very caring staff. The dishes are good and plentiful. We were with our children. Thank you to the servers for this pleasant moment.
