A very laid back but friendly experience with excellent food and service. The best so far in Lisbon! Wine list is small but very good! Our waiter works very hard to personalize your meal. Very reasonable cost!
We were staying in an Airbnb apartment around the corner and wanted to finish our visit with a local, authentic restaurant. Coutada hit all the right notes and didn’t disappoint at all. The owner was very welcoming and passionate about the menu having taken over a few months ago. He gave us very detailed information about the dishes as the menu is not at all overwhelming in terms of quantity. It’s all about quality at Coutada! We started with shrimp à lá guilho which is incredibly tasty shrimp cooked in olive oil, garlic and coriander. Our mains consisted of the incredible bacalhau à brás which is shredded cod with thinly sliced fried potatoes and onions. The balchão de gambas, which is essentially a delightful mild shrimp curry was delicious. Other entrees included the authentic grilled cuttlefish which is a meaty fish similar to octopus and the fish fillets which were served with beautiful boiled potatoes. This place is not on a main street but use your google maps and just go, it’s definitely worth it.
Miss this restaurant in lissabon not this is a really wonderful restaurant right in front of the tourist stretch offers excellent authentic Portuguese cuisine with excellent service. this restaurant has recently been taken over by the new owner and eating is delicious and the portions are generous, at a very reasonable price. the prawn starter and cod main were fantastic. try to find this hidden gem in lissabon. I'm back.
Don’t miss this restaurant in Lisbon This is a truly wonderful restaurant just off the tourist track delivering excellent authentic Portuguese cuisine with superb service. This restaurant has recently been taken over by the new owner and the food is delicious and the portions are generous, at a very reasonable price. The prawn starter and cod main were fantastic. Make the effort to find this hidden gem when in Lisbon. I will be back.
