This restaurant is permanently closed and I confirmed this with the restaurant next door to it called Betty 's Pizzeria. Google really should add an option to flag a venue as closed. Edit: In response to the bizarrely offended response of the owner of a closed venue at my 1-star review, I must say that I do not understand what else someone who is actively searching for vegan food for a date, makes plans to go to a restaurant that Google lists as open, calls ahead to try to get a reservation and finds that the telephone number is active and indicating that the restaurant is open, and then gets to the site, walks around for 10 minutes trying to find it, sees that there is still a sign up on the building for the restaurant, and ultimately has to find out, disappointingly, that the venue is permanently shuttered. I tried, at first, to edit the hours in Google Reviews to say that the place was closed 7 days a week, but Google Reviews said they couldn 't confirm those details and kicked the review back. In an effort to prevent other people from having the same negative experience, and failing to find any way to flag the venue as simply permanently shuttered, I left a review that would hopefully stand out to anyone searching for vegan food near Lenox, MA like I did and would warn them that this site is closed. I mean no hate as you put it. If the restaurant is closed, why on earth would you care about the rating? Does the rating somehow impact other aspects of your life or is this simply an ego/reputation thing? I 'm happy to remove the rating and the commentary if there is some other way to indicate that this business is closed. I do not understand your snarky, passive aggressive response though. I assume you are an adult and therefore have access to all of your mental faculties which means you *chose* to behave this way rather than having a tantrum due to youth or inexperience. I suppose in the final analysis we have all been through very stressful times the last several years with the pandemic, the daily racist onslaughts from the Trump administration, and the stunning failure of the Biden administration to make any substantive changes in the downward trajectory of our nation 's many institutions, such that I can understand a heightened resting level of agitation that could result in such a swat. For what it 's worth, I forgive you for this crass behavior and, again, for the record, am willing to remove the comment and rating if the restaurant can be flagged as closed. I just don 't want other people to have a frustrating experience that forces last minute alterations to a date like I had last night. I have contemplated increasing it to a 5 star review and leaving this commentary in place. I think that is what I will do so that your rating reputation can remain as sterling as it was prior to our interaction, but I will leave my initial comment as well as this response so that it is very noticeable to anyone looking at the listing. That way, they can decide for themselves if a 5 star rating tracks with your response to the initial comment and any subsequent vitriol to this response. Given that I have altered my initial rating and have also provided a full-throated defense of my rationale and initial rating, I will consider this matter closed and will not further engage with any angry or snide remarks from you. I think your behavior was rude and unwarranted, but I understand perhaps having recently closed your business emotions may be running high for you. For what it 's worth, I wish you well and hope you have peace and security in whatever your next ventures may be.
