I don 't know what there is to complain about here. A friendly restaurant that is straight out of the GDR times. The problems arise from the landlord and that is the city of Leipzig. We should be happy that a place like this still exists and that it is well attended. If the excavator is gone, the older people here will have nothing left.
Wonderful, old-fashioned GDR furnishings with old charm and old looks. Ideal for combining a visit to the lake and a walk, with plenty of seating. Classic German cuisine, home cooking and beer, everything you need. Prices are typical for Leipzig, not cheap but average. Happy to come back here. :

Hi people, we've known the lakeside terraces at the Bagger since 2004...always love being there...it feels like family because we've known each other for a long time and well...I can only recommend it to everyone...we were just there for the Baggerfest. .it was nice again...on Sunday with a service under the open sky...something very special...and that means something...we're traveling from Berlin...we love Leipzig even though we're Berliners... Kind regards from Berlin...
