This is a great restaurant in a beautiful setting along a canal in the Spreewald. The food was first class - we both had Gurken (cucumber) to start with, which is a speciality of this area. This is a great restaurant in a beautiful setting along a canal in the Spreewald. The food was first class - we both had Gurken (cucumber) to start with, which is a speciality of this area. The second courses were very tasty (Gulasch + Wildkeule). Both were served with the most delicious red cabbage (Rotkohl) - as good as I make.myself! I loved the digestif - saurer Apfel (sour apple). The waitress was lovely and very efficient! All in all, a wonderful meal! However, you need to be prepared to wait for each course! Everything is prepared when ordered, so don't be in a hurry!
The Suez in Lehde is my absolute favorite beer garden in the Spreewald. Shortly after a long bike tour it is nice to sit in the shade and enjoy the beautiful surroundings (see my pictures here in Golocal). If you're lucky, you can catch a table right by the river. Due to the surrounding trees you usually sit in the shade. We only drank a little (light wheat) and eat nothing. But want to pick up on the next occasion (has seen what the neighbors had on the plates). The prices are perfect. The drinks were delivered very quickly. The operator is very friendly. Parking is difficult throughout the area. We were lucky to have more free parking in the nearby hotel. But it's better to go by bike or walk. The area is known for this. We like to come back.
Right by the river. In the evening romantic with wind lights and torches and ducks. A restaurant that has opened after 17 in Lehde and even every day (in summer 11:00). Food top, nice dressed. Great prices. My husband had the wild boar in the wake glass twice with Remoulade sauce and roast potatoes for €10.90, so he was thrilled. I had the wild boar with thyme, framed forest plums and crispy puree for 15,90 € delicious! Fresh cold cucumber salad with butter milk simply fine! Also a small fine wine card. Friendly, urgent, attentive service. Only recommended!
