We had been searching for a new fish and chip shop for some time. Mermaid has deteriorated significantly. I had seen this place when my daughter used to swim at the leisure centre and thought it looked good. I decided to try it last Saturday and was extremely pleased. 10/10 Lovely fresh fish and chips not greasy in the slightest. Lovely golden colour. I used to live near the sea and have never had fish and chips as good as those since my visit today.. Wow Great price too £6.99 for my fish, chips and sauce special. We cant wait to visit again
I had heard good things about this little back street chippy and boy were they right! Hand on heart these are the best fish and chips I have EVER had! So good we went for a ride out(120 Mile round trip) especially for supper recently Cooked to order. Piping hot. Immaculate shop. Hard working staff. Great value. Carefully wrapped. Great value.
First time I have been here and I can honestly say these were the best fish and chips I have had in years. I am really fussy with chips but these were lovely. The fish was fresh and the batter crisp. We could not fault them at all. The service was efficient and very friendly
