Was Keshawn Grady at Arouch a mag?
I've been going to Arouch for years. I can say that the food has consistently been amazing, never failing to disappoint. Ask for your Armenian pizza to be heated and enjoy! The only downside is the price of the condiments...I really feel they should be included. View all feedback.
What Bramia Khoury dislikes about Arouch:
We visited this restaurant on Sunday and were impressed by the quick service and efficient ordering process. However, we were not as pleased with the food itself. We ordered a dozen of each Zaatar, cheese, and Lahm B'ajin (both spicy and non-spicy). The food was just not up to our expectations. View all feedback.
It's definitely the best Armenian Lahmajun I've ever tried! Perfect place for a breakfast, mid day snack or even dinner, I can eat their pies all day. Clean and authentic.
Ice service. correct food, but hunger is coming back soon. Once a year is enough.
My family and I have been Arouch customers for decades, since their first location on Liege, in Park Extension. I still remember discreetly asking my parents $7.50 in order to buy a dozen spicy meat pies (lahmajoun,) which to this day I enjoy. While the price has slightly gone up (what hasn't,?) the meat pies taste as good today as they did in my teenage years. The food is and has always been fresh, and the quality is consistent. No hit-or-miss at Arouch. In addition to a choice of lahmajouns (mild, spicy, garlic free, if I recall,) they serve a variety of vegetarian goodies that I have yet to try.Prices: well, I don't want to get into the debate whether the prices are reasonable or not as the topic is very moot.Cleanliness: All the locations that I have visited appear clean at a glimpse.Service: they are fast food, the service and experience you receive depends greatly on who's behind the counter. Back in the days on Liege, before their expansion, I got served most frequently by the owner, let's just say he had the warmth and charisma of a vending machine. On a different note, for quite some time, there has been a rumor that the meat is Halal, or available in Halal. I can neither confirm or deny if it is. The rumor appears to be lucrative as I have seen a good number of Muslim clients unquestionably savoring it. By the way, an Armenian bakery serving Halal is as rare as a Kosher bakery serving bacon. All in all, I recommend to meat lovers the spicy lahmajoun (a classic.) Just remember to bring breath mints and more money as the prices frequently and tactfully go up.
One of the most appealing aspects of this restaurant is the freshness of the food. The service is always excellent and friendly.
